‘Bullying’ MP apologises at last to staffer
SORRY LETTER Mr Lopresti A TORY MP sent a twosentence letter of apology to a former staffer over his “volatile” behaviour – two years after her complaint.
Jack Lopresti was accused of bullying former office manager Jo Kinsey.
She quit in March 2017 and complained to the Tories, who agreed he may have broken the party’s code of conduct.
In the letter, the Filton and Bradley Stoke MP said: “I am sorry that your time working in my constituency office was not happy for you, and that it didn’t work out. I am obviously sorry for any action of mine, however inadvertent, which contributed to your unhappiness.”
Mrs Kinsey said: “It must have been very difficult for him, so that makes it very sweet indeed.”
