INDIES skipper Clive Lloyd put England paceman Bob Willis to the sword in the third Test at Old Trafford. The big left-handed batsman had been out of form, but he cut loose on his home county ground. Willis had riled the Windies by bouncing his fellow fast bowler Colin Croft. Lloyd hit 101 as he and Viv Richards (65) went on the attack. The rain-hit Test finished in a draw, and the West Indies won the five-match series 1-0.

SIR GARETH EDWARDS (72) – legendary Wales and British & Irish Lions scrum-half. ALAN MULLALLY (50) – retired England pace bowler.

NEIL HARRIS (42) – former Millwall striker, now head coach of the Lions. LUKE SHAW (24) – England left-back who joined Manchester United for £27million from Southampton at 18.
