Hammond: I could vote to ditch Tories
PHILIP Hammond has refused to rule out voting to bring down a Tory Government if the UK is heading for a no-deal Brexit.
Boris Johnson, expected to become PM next week, insists the UK will leave the EU on October 31.
But in an interview with European newspapers the Chancellor said he would “take steps to avoid an exit” that didn’t have “parliamentary approval”.
When asked if he would back a motion of no confidence in a Tory government he said: “I do not exclude anything.” He said other options may include a referendum or election.
