IT’S SHEER ELL

-

ELLYSE PERRY completed a fine century as Australia reached 341-5 before rain stopped play after lunch on day two of the sole Test match of the Women’s Ashes at Taunton.

The Aussie all-rounder started the day on 84, with her side well placed on 265-3. She made 116 before falling to Laura Marsh just before lunch.

Rachael Haynes also added a further 33 in the morning session, after completing her half-century on Thursday, as the pair put on a 162-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

Australia will retain the Ashes if England do not win the Test.
