Cuts widen ‘class gap’

-

WORKING class people have been hardest hit by a decade of cuts to public services, a TUC study has found.

The lowest earners in England have lost services worth up to £829 a year.

Since 2010, councils have cut cultural services by 43%, and environmental services by 20%. TUC boss Frances O’Grady said: “It’s widening the class gap.”
