Drunk mum’s rampage on Virgin flight
A MUM hit a boy of eight in the face with a bottle of water which she threw during a drunken rampage on a plane, a court heard.
College worker Louise Dixon, 51, also spat in a woman’s face and lashed out at another trying to restrain her on the flight from Miami to Heathrow.
A court heard she needed to be handcuffed for six hours and the Virgin Atlantic captain had even considered an emergency landing at New York.
The mum-of-two, who lives near Bridgend, Wales, admitted assault and being drunk on a plane.
Uxbridge magistrates gave her a suspended sentence and ordered her on to a rehab programme.
Dixon told the court in a statement: “I am so sorry for what I’ve done.”
