MICHELLE Keegan looks like the cream of the crop as she prepares to appear on BBC Breakfast in stylish off-white trousers and matching top. The ex-Corrie star, 32, is busy promoting Sky One comedy-drama, Brassic in which she’s the girlfriend of a hapless petty crook. It would certainly be a crime to miss Michelle... JAMES Corden has secured a bumper pay deal to stay on The Late Late Show – making him one of the most successful Brits in US TV history.

His CBS channel boss announced the 40-year-old presenter has reached a new £5million-a-year agreement.

Corden’s deal to stay until August, 2022, comes just two months after he admitted he was considering returning to the UK.

But insiders say the big pay rise plus fewer hours kept him in the States.

David Nevins, of CBS, said: “James Corden has burned his way to the top of US television with a daring, energetic and inventive broadcast that stands out in the late-night space.

“James and his shows are a great source of pride to CBS, and it’s exciting to extend our relationship into the future.”

Corden had been earning just over £3million to host CBS’s 12.30am slot.

The British star hit the US airwaves in 2015, at a time when late-night TV underwent a major overhaul.

David Letterman and Jon Stewart both left their late-night shows that year, and Jay Leno had stepped down from NBC’s The Tonight Show in 2014. Corden replaced Scot Craig Ferguson, who left as host of The Late Late Show in 2014. While in London in June, Corden had told Chris Evans: “For Julie, my wife, and I... we’re a long way from home, you know, when we’re doing the show.

“And there’s people here on this glorious island that we miss every day.”

The dad-of-three added: “And, you know, there are questions [like], ‘Where do we want our kids to go to school?’ There’s people getting older. Time is the key. And time with people. “And all of those things will be factors, which are far greater than, ‘Do I still want to carry on doing the show or not?’ It’s a greater question than that.” Much of Corden’s success has been built around his hugely popular show segments “Carpool Karaoke” and “The World’s Best”.

At the upcoming Emmys, he is competing in seven categories, the most for an on-air talent.

Corden won a Tony Award in 2012 for his work on Broadway in the play “One Man, Two Guvnors”. James Corden
