Two further arrests over Yousef case

STABBED Yousef Makki TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice in relation to the Yousef Makki trial.

The private school pupil, 17, was fatally stabbed in a row over cannabis.

A jury accepted the boy, 17, who knifed him in Hale Barns, Gtr Manchester, acted in self-defence.

He is serving 16 months’ detention for possessing a knife and perverting the course of justice.

Jurors were told he had lied to police.

Another boy, also 17, is serving four months for possessing a blade.

Police confirmed the arrests of the two men, aged 18 and 22, were linked to the Makki case.

A spokesman said: “They have been released under investigat­ion.”
