Brit boy dies in sixth floor plunge from Costa flats

TRAGEDY Fuengirola A 13-YEAR-OLD British boy died after falling from the sixth-floor terrace of a Spanish apartment block.

Paramedics could not save him after the accident in the Costa del Sol resort of Fuengirola yesterday.

His mum was reportedly with him when he fell at around 1.30pm local time.

Meanwhile, a two-yearold girl suffered multiple injuries after she fell from a second floor window of the Rooms Inn B&B in Blackpool, Lancs, and on to the pavement.

She suffered fractures and a head injury and was airlifted to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool.

Kevin Twiss, 35, whose wife Wendy runs the neighbouri­ng Lumada Hotel, heard crying at 8.40am and was the first on the scene to help.

He said: “I saw the child on the floor and wondered if I was seeing right.

“At that point the father tried to kick the gate open to get to the child, so I passed her to him through a gap in the gate..”

Witness Kerry Wormald, said: “A young man came running screaming they needed an ambulance.
