Sock crook’s fuel-ish move
A BURGLAR who put socks on his hands to avoid leaving prints when he broke into a house has been jailed for two years and five months.
Repeat offender Tommy Wilkins, 27, from Croydon, South London, admitted breaking into the house on May 31, stealing a phone, jewellery and two watches.
Maidstone crown court heard Wilkins had told police he went into the house looking for a jerry can “because his hire car was running out of fuel”.
