HUDSON: KARLAN CAN PUT BITE BACK INTO TIMID TERRIERS
MARK HUDSON has pinpointed Karlan Grant as the man to spark a HUDDERSFIELD revival.
And the caretaker boss has urged his teammates to provide the ammunition for Grant (right) to fire the
Terriers up the table.
Managerless Town face CARDIFF tonight in their first game since Jan Siewert was axed.
Grant has scored all three goals this term and Hudson said: “We turn over possession a bit too quickly, which doesn’t help players get up the pitch and give support to him. “We’ve got to work on giving him more opportunities because Karlan scores goals.” BRENTFORD travel to LEEDS with manager Thomas Frank insisting centre-half Pontus Jansson can cope with any flak that comes his way. The Swede (below) was a fans’ favourite at Elland Road, but quit to join the Bees in the summer.
Frank said: “Pontus is a leader, he’s been a leader for us in the first few games, and will be all season.
“It is one of the toughest away games we can play. We know what to expect.”
SWANSEA defender Joe Rodon was forced to delete his Twitter account after being abused by his own supporters for his performance in the 3-2 victory over Preston. But Rodon is set to continue in defence at QPR tonight and head coach Steve Cooper said: “We have checked with Joe as a club and he’s absolutely fine.”
Tomer Hemed is keen to make up for lost time after finally having his move to CHARLTON ratified two weeks after the transfer window closed.
The Israeli forward could make his debut against NOTTINGHAM FOREST and said: “They’ve brought me here to score goals, so I will do my best in every game to help the team.”
MILLWALL or WEST BROM could go top of the league when they play FULHAM and READING respectively. STOKE hope to move off the bottom at PRESTON.
