The insider said: “She is so well loved by viewers and the Loose Women that her place on the panel is always available. It would be great to have her back.

Linda, has two children, Louis and Roberta, with her husband Mark Dunford, 58. She also has a daughter, Lauren, from an earlier relationship.

Linda talked last week about a bizarre situation in

which she became godmother to two children she had never met before.

She said that as she made her way to the loo in a church in Dublin after Mass a family recognised her and asked if she would accept taking on the role.

Linda added: “I said ‘yes’ but I had jeans on and was all scruffy. I had 20 euros so I said ‘will you get my godchildren a little present with that?’.

“I’ll have to send them gifts every year. It was just for fun but the family said they were honoured. We had a nice time over there.”

She recently lost more than 2st after ditching booze and sugar. She previously said she drank a bottle of wine a night.

Linda, a former I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! contestant, admitted: “I didn’t have a problem but... it could have easily turned into one.”
