SHE RUINED HER FACE WITH BOTOX

Dear Coleen

-

I’m worried about my daughter. She’s only 27 and has really ruined her face with fillers and Botox. She was absolutely beautiful and didn’t need to do any of it.

The trouble is, she’s been hanging around with a group of girls who’ve all done the same thing – everything about them is fake.

I feel so heartbroken that my daughter has spoiled her lovely face. She has a really nice boyfriend, whom she was dating before she did all this stuff. There was just no need for it. How can I get her to stop?

What’s interesting is that there seems to be a bit of a move away from lip fillers and that plastic sex doll appearance where everyone ends up looking the same. Quite a few celebrities have come out and said they wish they’d never had it done and they wouldn’t do it again.

Towie’s Ferne McCann was on Loose Women recently saying she’d never let her daughter have cosmetic surgery. Another reality star Megan McKenna had her lip fillers dissolved and says she’s horrified when she looks back at photos of her “duck” lips.

Personally, I hope it’s a trend that continues and filters through to young women like your daughter.

It’s hard for you because she’s a grown woman who can make her own decisions. But I think it’s OK to tell her your concerns and remind her how lovely she was before she had this work done.

I understand the pressure she feels if the rest of her friends are doing it. I’m probably one of the only women my age on the telly who hasn’t had something done, but I don’t want to pump my face full of chemicals.

I might look rubbish, but at least it’s natural!
