BRAVE booze fans can sample the flavours of North Korea on a tour of the country’s pubs, bars and breweries next year.

Cambridgeshire-based Smiling Grape Adventure Tours is offering a trip to the totalitarian state, including capital Pyongyang, from March 15-20.

Director Matt Ellis says that makes it the perfect way to celebrate St Patrick’s Day on the 17th.

Matt added: “The drinking culture is big in North Korea. A shortage of fuel due to the sanctions over North Korea’s nuclear and missile programmes makes it difficult for beer to be shipped around the country, so there are many microbreweries.”

The tour leaves from China and costs £1,295.

Dog launches its attack as owner strolls away

It seizes hold of Cleo in jaws

A SICK dog owner appears to set his pet on a cat and let it tear the creature to shreds.

The thug was caught on CCTV walking up to 10-year-old Cleo as she sat on her owner’s front wall.

He then shines a light on the moggy, prompting his lurchertype dog to attack, before fleeing.

Cleo’s owner, Gary Truefitt, discovered the footage of the “disgusting” attack the next day.

And he believes the body of his beloved “companion” was then dumped in a wheelie bin.

Mr Truefitt, 60, said: “I was very upset. Cleo will be much-missed.

“She was a daft cat and would lie along the driveway even when there were cars about.

“It’s just awful to think of her being attacked in this way.”

Mr Truefitt, from Walsall, fears the dog may hurt a young child next after learning “to kill”.

Calling for its handler to be jailed, he said: “If there’s a baby with a toy, it might go for that.”

Police and the RSPCA are investigating the incident.
