‘Bring jihadis back to UK‘
BRITISH jihadis must be repatriated to stop a resurgence of terror in the West, a terrorism expert warns.
Asya Metodieva, visiting fellow at a London School of Economics think tank, said: “The risk of more IS fighters escaping prisons in Syria is a concern for the West. Europe collectively does not have a plan for dealing with them.”
Syrian forces are trying to stop 5,000 hardcore IS fighters fleeing jails in its north-east. Many others have escaped since Turkey invaded Syria last month.
