ANNE RICHARDSON
looks back at 2019
Visage, Olivia Colman and Stormzy
ITV, 9pm
WELL, it’s been a hell of a year. Normally, we look to the showbiz world and celebrities for all the bonkers news and scandalous stories, but this year it’s been politics and politicians who’ve been making the headlines.
But despite all the madness, there have still been some non-newsy highlights and moments to remember and celebrate.
And so ITV has turned to Alan Carr and his cheery camp energy to host this raucous entertainment show, pitting some of the biggest names from this year’s telly against each other to provide us all with some much-needed laughs.
Looking back over the good, the bad, the cringe-worthy and the shocking moments of 2019 will be I’m A Celeb’s Jacqueline Jossa and Kate Garraway, Strictly and Drag Race star Michelle Visage, Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall, Love Island romancer Curtis Pritchard and his Strictly pro brother AJ.
With Alan as the host with the most, the celebs will be looking back over 2019’s best and worst moments, such as Stormzy smashing Glastonbury, England’s amazing cricketing triumph and coming so close in the rugby, Boris Johnson shutting down parliament, the arrival of Royal baby Archie, and Olivia Colman winning an Oscar.
Apparently we can expect hilarious clips, must-see viral moments, comedy sketches and surprise guests. And one celeb couple will also have the opportunity to win £25,000 for charity.
It’s like a Big Fat Quiz of the Year crossed with a boozy games night round at the neighbours’ house.
