Ibra’s the man for all seasons
AC MILAN boss Stefano Pioli insists there is more to come from Zlatan Ibrahimovic after the Swede scored his first goal since rejoining the club.
The 38-year-old’s strike in the 2-0 win at CAGLIARI means he has scored in four different decades, having started his career with Malmo in 1999.
Ibrahimovic – who spent two seasons at Milan between 2010-12, scoring 42 goals in 61 games – has signed a six-month deal with the Serie A side after returning from a stint in MLS with LA Galaxy
Pioli said: “I was worried because I didn’t know how his fitness would be. In the second half I questioned him every five minutes to see how he was feeling.
“He was a bit tense and worried at the start because it is not easy to make the step back up again. He’s not 100 per cent match-fit but he showed how good he is.”
