PRINCE Harry has spoken about having therapy to help him cope with the death of his mother, Diana.

The Duke of Sussex opened up at his first paid event with Meghan – a banking summit.

The couple attended a JP Morgan conference in Miami at South Beach’s 1 Hotel, where rooms can cost £4,500 a night.

A source said that Harry, 35, “spoke about how he has been in therapy for the past few years to try to overcome the trauma of losing his mother”.

Meghan, 38, is said to have introduced Harry at the summit attended by billionaires.

The source added: “He talked about how the events of his childhood affected him and that he has been talking to a mental health professional. He also touched on Megxit, saying that while it has been very difficult, he doesn’t regret their decision to step down as senior royals because he wants to protect his family.

“He does not want Meghan and their son Archie to go through what he did as a child.”

One insider claimed Harry said he started seeing a therapist at 28 following his mother’s death in 1997.

The couple are reported to have stayed at the mansion of tennis star pal Serena Williams.

According to the New York Post, the source said they spoke to 425 people inside a marquee.

Public relations experts estimated the gig earned them £400,000. PR boss Ronn Torossian, of 5WPR, said: “How can any brand go wrong having them as speakers?

“There is no celebrity in the world hotter. They can earn up to £75million this year.”

Buckingham Palace and JP Morgan declined to comment.

Last night it was claimed the couple turned down an offer to present an award at tomorrow night’s Oscars in Los Angeles.
