HARRIS WARNS HIS TEAM: IT’S NOW OR NEVER

- BY ALEX BYWATER

NEIL HARRIS says its now or never if Cardiff are to stand any chance of making the play-offs.

The Bluebirds manager admits he hasn’t had the results he’s wanted since succeeding veteran Neil Warnock in November.

Cardiff travel to bottom club Luton today before taking on fellow strugglers Huddersfield and Wigan.

Harris said: “It’s a big week if we’re being serious about the play-off places – the biggest week since I’ve been here and I want a points return.

“With the quality we’ve got it’s time to step up and deliver. We’ve not had too many wins in my time here.

“We’ve had quite a few draws and it’s fine being hard to beat, but I want to push the club to get back into the Premier League.”

Harris brought in winger Albert Adomah and defenders Dion Sanderson and Brad Smith to his squad in the January window, with all three joining on loan. “I was aware I wasn’t going to be able to spend millions,” added Harris. “Realistically we have to cut the squad and rebuild before the end of the season.”

Luton could have Danny Hylton back today after nearly a year on the sidelines. The feisty forward has not played since suffering a serious knee injury in March last year.

Boss Graeme Jones said: “He looks a hungry animal and we’ve just got to try to give him as many minutes as possible on the big pitch. It’s my job to pick the right time.”

Jones suddenly has options with Izzy Brown and Sonny Bradley fit as well. He added: “I’m delighted going into a three-game week that we’ve got options to be competitive.”
