BEHIND ENEMY LINES

-

BEST BET OF THE MEETING? ORR: Minella Indo wins the RSA. The more rain the better. BINFIELD: Paddy’s chuffed to bits to sponsor the Stayers’ Hurdle and last year’s hero looks a shoo-in to repeat on Thursday.

Benie Des Dieux. She had such a range of options but she goes to the Mares’ Hurdle which makes her the week’s banker.

Benie Des Dieux in Tuesday’s Mares’ Hurdle. She has taken her form to another level on the last couple of starts.

Defi Du Seuil has replaced Altior as the star two-miler and can confirm that in the Champion Chase.

Envoi Allen in the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle on Wednesday. He relished the run up the hill in last year’s Champion Bumper, and has returned in incredibly impressive form. SHORTY TO AVOID?

Altior will be firmly put in his place by the up-and-comers in the Champion Chase on Wednesday.

In association with

Altior. He’s had an injury scare and you can make good cases for him, Defi Du Seuil and Chacun Pour Soi. It could be the race of the week.

Envoi Allen in the Ballymore. He has never gone for the trip on soft or heavy ground so there are question marks over him.

Carefully Selected in the National Hunt Chase. He hasn’t always convinced with his jumping and his stamina is possibly not guaranteed at this trip.

Envoi Allen in Wednesday’s Ballymore. He won’t beat The Big Breakaway and he wouldn’t have won the Supreme had he gone there either.

Benie Des Dieux in the Mares’ Hurdle. The price is far too short to represent value for last year’s favourite who fell at the last, especially as Honeysuckle has the engine to threaten her. ONE AT A WORKING MAN’S PRICE?

Plan Of Attack in Thursday’s Kim Muir at around 10-1.

Clemencia has left Brendan Duke’s stable, having been bought by an owner of Tim Vaughan’s, and he could go well at about 40-1 in Wednesday’s Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle.

Skandiburg in the Pertemps on Thursday to give Olly Murphy his first Festival win. He’s a course-and-distance winner and looks suited to this race.

Cornerstone Lad in the Champion Hurdle. His form entitles him to be a shorter price and any more rain would be in his favour.

Got to stick with our own Coral Champions Club star Annie Mc for this! She’ll be no back marker whatever race she runs in on Thursday.

Battleoverdoyen is now a bigger price than expected in Tuesday’s National Hunt Challenge Cup after falling at the last on his most recent run. However, there was a lot to like about his attitude and he represents the value of the week for master trainer Gordon Elliott.
