A YOUNG brother and sister died of E.coli 12 days apart, an inquest heard.

Florence, two, and Sonny Leto, six months, had a very rare and virulent strain of the bacteria.

A tummy bug was diagnosed in September 2018 but they did not recover.

Public Health England’s Dr Lauren Ahyow said the source is not known.

Mum Gemma, of Charnwood, Leics, said: “They were both just babies.”

The inquest at Loughborough coroner’s court is expected to last all week.
