Alesha Dixon says this year’s Britain’s Got Talent is an “emotional rollercoaster” – and explained why she and co-judge Amanda Holden will never argue.

The hit ITV talent show returns tonight with Alesha and Amanda alongside David Walliams and creator Simon Cowell once again.

Teasing the new series to the Mirror, she said: “Every year BGT delivers and every year I am pleasantly surprised at the amount of talent that comes through the door.

“There’s something about this year that feels classic Britain’s Got Talent, very old school, very traditional. We had the best time. There are tears because it’s an emotional rollercoaster – one minute you could be laughing out loud, the next you could be in floods

GLAM Alesha loves show role of tears because something is so moving. “David Walliams’ golden buzzer act this year moved us to tears. It will be self-explanatory when you see it but it was so hopeful, innocent and beautiful that everyone in the room was moved. “The fact that people can’t leave their home, I hope BGT is going to be a welcome treat into people’s homes. I think it’s needed at this time. “We all need a bit of silliness, we need escapism, we need to laugh and need to forget about the troubles from the day and just enjoy ourselves. I think BGT is the perfect remedy for that.” Alesha, 41, has been on the show since 2012, joining in series six after being a Strictly Come Dancing judge on the BBC. Eight years on and the entire judging panel remains the same and she and Amanda, 49, seem to have avoided a single cross word. Asked why the pair never argue or get involved in fashion
