Vulnerable in food delivery slots woe
MANY of our most vulnerable households are still struggling to get online grocery delivery slots.
Consumer watchdog Which? compiled a dossier of 1,000 cases – with some people staying up until the early hours to bag spots while others are being forced to rely on the kindness of neighbours.
It comes despite supermarkets getting a list of those identified as high-risk and top priority for home deliveries during the pandemic.
Sue Davies, of Which?, said: “It’s clear the current system is not working for those who need it most.”
It came as it emerged eight in 10 people shopping for groceries online are not getting their full orders.
