Sex accuser denies her team staged ‘PR stunt’
SCANDAL With Andrew, 2001
A WOMAN who claims she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew aged 17 has said it is “a spit in the face to all victims in the world” that he has yet to be grilled.
Virginia Giuffre, 36, alleges the Duke of York’s paedophile pal Jeffrey Epstein pimped her out to him on three occasions in 2001.
Her lawyers claimed this week Andrew snubbed three interview requests – causing a pal of the Duke to accuse them of chasing him as a “PR stunt”.
Ms Giuffre hit back yesterday: “PR stunt – really? How about the fact he abused me at 17 and has never been held accountable? It’s a scary thing going up against the monarchy but enough’s enough.
“This is seriously sick and the sheer fact that [Andrew has not] been interviewed by Scotland Yard/FBI/DOJ is a spit in the face to all victims in the world.”
Praising her lawyer, she added: “If anyone can bring
Andrew down, David Boies and New York FBI can. Good vs Evil. We will prevail.”
The Duke, 60, denies all allegations. We told yesterday how a pal blasted Ms Giuffre’s team, saying: “A request from a commercial law firm is not the same as a judicial process. They’re playing a PR game.”
US prosecutor Geoffrey Berman, probing Epstein, previously said Andrew has given “zero co-operation”. He later admitted contact with his lawyers, who said he was “not willing to submit to an interview”. Andrew quit royal duties last year over the scandal. Epstein killed himself in jail last August, aged 66, ahead of a trial on child sex trafficking charges. The Duke declined to comment. Scotland Yard was approached for statement.
