Groot’s grown on movie fans

GROOT from Guardians of the Galaxy has been voted the movie monster most loved by Brits.

The alien tree creature, voiced by Vin Diesel, topped a poll of 2,000 with 35% of the vote.

Yoda came second with 19%, followed by his Star Wars co-star Chewbacca, Gremlins’ Gizmo and E.T.

Men in Black’s Worm Guys were sixth in the OnBuy.com poll, followed by Jabba the Hutt, King Kong, Ghostbusters’ Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Harry, from Harry and the Hendersons.
