FRENCH racing has received the green light to resume at Longchamp next Monday.

Like England and Ireland, no racing has taken place in France since March 17.

But France Galop president Edouard de Rothschild revealed Paris police have given permission for racing to return on May 11.

And Olivier Delloye,

France Galop CEO, added: “We’re still aiming to resume racing on all the major race tracks.”

Longchamp will host a bumper card with four Group races taking place behind closed doors.

Only runners and jockeys based in France can compete.

Despite initial reports that foreign runners cannot take part until the end of July, that date is now open to discussion.
