GERMANY RETURN IN DOUBT AS TEST POSITIVE

THE Premier League was given a warning yesterday as 10 players and staff from Germany’s top two divisions have now tested positive for the coronaviru­s.

Bundesliga teams have been back in training since April 6 and Germany’s return to action is seen as the role model for the Premier League.

Chancellor Angela Merkel is expected to announce a timetable tomorrow with the DFL still hoping to stage matches later this month.

But news of the new tests will be a big blow to a swift resumption of the season.
