WORLD of GOOD

- BY AMY PACKER

■ Springtime is heavenly, unless you suffer from itchy eyes caused by hay fever and allergies. Optase Allergy (£12.95 for 20 doses; scopeyecare.com), can help by forming a protective layer over the eye’s surface to prevent tree and flower pollens causing irritation in the first place.

■ Period-proof pants have been around for a while and now Mo by Modibodi (from £24; modibodi.co.uk) has launched to help the one in 10 men who suffer with incontinence due to ageing or medical treatment such as prostate surgery. They’re a great alternative to disposable products – simply wash and reuse as with normal underwear.

■ Combining sourdough with classic ciabatta, Jason’s Grains & Seeds Ciabattin (£1.80; M&S) is a tasty loaf which throws sunflower seeds, linseeds and spelt into the mix. Best of all, the makers soak the seeds in sourdough cultures so the nutrients can be absorbed by our bodies rather than passing straight through, as it were.

■ If your hands are feeling parched but you still want to banish bugs, check out This Works Stress Check Clean Hands (£3; thisworks.com). The anti-bac gel helps avoid dehydration caused by the alcohol they require to work thanks to the addition of moisture retaining hyaluronic acid. Lavender, neroli and camomile essential oils help relieve stress and anxiety.
