Aim Call Keir at Tory seats

-

■ The Call Keir virtual public meetings are a great idea to get Labour members, supporters and potential voters to feel involved with the party (Mirror, April 30).

But his main focus should be on Tory strongholds such Tamworth where I live. I have yet to meet anyone there with a positive word to say about Boris Johnson, yet the Tories got 66% of the vote.

The next election is there to be won if Labour reach out to “Blue” areas.

■ Liverpool have proved they are the best Premier League side this year, but it’s foolhardy to continue the season and crown them champions.

Even if the final games are played behind closed doors at neutral grounds who will control hundreds of thousands of fans who will congregate outside Liverpool City Hall to celebrate winning their first title since the Premier League began. It would be an impossible and dangerous task.

■ What an amazing man Captain Tom is – raising more than £30 million for our fantastic NHS. I would like to see Tom as part of a panel of NHS staff who decides where and how the money should be allocated. A tough job I know, but if we let the so-called bigwigs get their paws on it, it will just disappear into thin air.
