DEVASTATION Wrecked houses

TWO schoolboys aged 11 and 12 were arrested on suspicion of arson endangering life after a devastating blaze wrecked six houses.

Aerial images show the skeletal remains of the terraced homes with some reduced to ash.

The fire in Hull, East Yorks, left the properties – worth an average £60,000 each – completely uninhabitable and caused at least £300,000 of damage.

The inferno forced 100 nearby residents to temporarily leave their homes for their own

The Hollywood actress has recently had a string of younger boyfriends, and is currently in lockdown with 22-year-old musician Goody Grace. The pair have being pictured going on daily exercise hikes together. Asked about “age versus expectations” by Women’s Health, she said: “It can feel like a little bit of a political act to be a woman over 32 who’s having any fun at all – ‘Oh my God, I’m going to sit home and anticipate menopause while crocheting.’ Unless you’re doing that, it somehow seems to be risqué, which is just ridiculous.” Comparing how she is treated compared to men, she said: “I witness men constantly doing whatever they like, whether in relationships, or deciding to buy a motorbike, or getting a tattoo. It hasn’t been interpreted as, ‘why hasn’t he had more children?’ or ‘is he ever going to decide to become a parent?’ or ‘why safety. Children’s toys were pictured strewn and melted in surrounding gardens, with the windows of the homes smashed through.

Families were alerted to the drama when smoke began billowing out into the streets on Friday. Photographer Dean Gellatly, 50, who came out of his home to witness the drama, said: “It was harrowing – you couldn’t see.

“There were cars pulling over at the side and people stopping in the streets because you could not see anything but black smoke.”

Eight fire engines and 40 firefighters attended the scene but miraculously nobody was injured or trapped in the fire.

A spokesman for Humberside Police confirmed: “Two boys, aged 12 and 11, were initially arrested on suspicion of arson endangering life and have been released pending further enquiries.

“We are also keen to speak to a man seen walking away from the area at the time of the fire who has yet to come forward.”
