Brother hits out after former X Factor judge’s shame claim
SHARON Osbourne’s brother David has launched a blistering retaliation after she accused him of fat shaming her when they were growing up.
David Arden has compared the former X Factor judge, 67, to “Hitler or Dracula”, adding: “She is bad... her past exploits will come to haunt her”.
He was speaking after Sharon said on US TV: “I used to get fat shamed by my brother. [He] used to get his friends to join in. It sticks with you. At times I was bigger than others. My weight has always [gone up and down], and that’s it.”
The pair initially fell out in 2007 after the death of their father, legendary music manager Don Arden.
Sharon, who paid for the funeral, wanted Jewish Don buried beside his mother in his Manchester birthplace but David, 69, wanted him laid to rest next to his wife Hope in Surrey.
Sharon missed the burial in Salford, instead choosing to attend a later private headstone unveiling.
Her latest allegations have rattled David. He said: “There are no pictures of her being overweight before the age 22, the reason being she was NOT.
“She was naturally well built. Her weight problems did not begin until she was aged 22 or 23 after she split from her long time boyfriend. “From memory this led to her constantly having her hand in the cookie jar. But the fat shaming by me and my friends is complete fiction.”
Sharon, married to Black Sabbath co-founder Ozzy Osbourne, 71, has claimed David has been trying to reconcile with her and her family to get into the rocker’s will.
And she has said: “I think he looks at me and my family, all successful, and it eats away at him.
“My mobile number changes every three months, but my office number has been the same for 32 years. He could have got hold of me at any time. It seems he wants sympathy and he wants money.”
David hit back: “With regards to me constantly trying to contact her, utter fantasy, it would be like me wanting to contact Hitler or Dracula.
“Mrs Osbourne has left two messages on my phone in the last 10 years which I have retained for possible future use as valuable material for anyone carrying out research into psychopathy.
“Her usual modus operandi, gross distortion of the truth. It is not in my nature to shame anyone’s appearance, however as
Mrs Osbourne has shown it is one of her favourite pastimes. I think it is time that anything emanating from her mouth should be flagged, Twitter-style.”
Sharon has previously ranted: “Nicole Kidman’s forehead looks like a f ***** g flatscreen TV! How big is that forehead?”
And she said that while
BLAST David Arden singer Susan Boyle was “so sweet and lovely”, she then added that she had been “hit by the ugly stick”. Sharon, who has spent around £120,000 on cosmetic surgery, went on to say: “I like everybody to do well. Even somebody that looks like a slapped a***.
“You just want to say ‘God bless’ and here’s a Gillette razor. I didn’t realise she had facial hair.”
After her dig at her brother for supposedly fat-shaming her, she said on The Talk that she has always battled with her weight.
She said: “At times I was bigger than others. My weight has always [gone up and down], and that’s it.
“It’s been going on for hundreds of years, people going on about people’s weight. And it never will end.”
The mum-of-three vowed to cut off all contact with David.
And she said she is adamant she
never wants her children Aimee, Jack, and Kelly to speak to him again.
Sharon said: “We call him Fredo after the weak son in The Godfather who sold the family out – that’s my brother. It seems all he wants is our money. I want absolutely nothing to do with him.
“David knows that everything is going to my kids, but he seems to think he can get a few hundred grand out of my husband in his will... even though he’s said horrible things about Ozzy behind his back. It’s disgusting.”
David has also accused Sharon of having so much plastic surgery she is “unrecognisable” to him.
