Ex-girlfriend quizzed last year

ANOTHER of Christian Brueckner’s ex-girlfriends was quizzed by police on the Madeleine McCann investigation months ago about his movements and behaviour.

Nicole Fehlinger dated Brueckner when they both lived in Portugal.

Her dad Dieter said they had been stunned by the recent revelations linking Brueckner to Madeleine’s disappearance.

Dieter said: “My daughter was interviewed by German police between nine months and a year ago in connection with Christian. My granddaughter was an eight-year-old blonde girl at the time.

“If I had known then what I know now I would have killed him. When I first met him I was certainly suspicious of him.”

Social worker Nicole fostered children and introduced them to Brueckner at her home in Portugal before returning to her home country of Germany.

A British ex of the paedophile, who we are not naming, told on Monday how she was also questioned by officers last year.
