TRAGIC LOSS Ben Kinsella

BEN Kinsella’s father said the pain will never go, ahead of the 12th anniversary of his son’s killing.

George Kinsella said the recent stabbings in Reading bring back the horror of his son’s murder.

Ben, 16, the brother of EastEnders actress Brooke, 36, was killed by three men in North London in 2008.

Speaking before the anniversary of Ben’s death today, cabbie George, 60, said: “The pain never goes away. You just learn to deal with it a little bit better.”

George, who campaigns against knife crime, said of the knifing of three men in Reading, Berks, on June 20: “I’ve felt for the families.

“What they’re going to go through, the grieving, it’s just terrible. Their journey is just beginning.”

Co-host Susanna Reid winces as Piers Morgan lets rip

EAMONN Holmes has hailed controversial Piers Morgan the “saviour of breakfast TV” but fears he could quit at any time.

The former GMTV host said ITV’s Good Morning Britain had been “going down the drain of vanilla blandness” until Piers joined.

But Eamonn said his ITV daytime colleague, 55 – who co-hosts with Susanna Reid – could easily walk away from the high-profile gig.

He said: “He came there and shook it up. He was the right man in the right place at the right time. And so far, so good.

“But the thing about Piers, and probably why a lot of people watch him, is you don’t know how long it’ll last, . You don’t know when he’ll have had enough or whatever.”

Earlier this year, the outspoken host confirmed he had signed a contract running into 2021.

Eamonn, 60, also praised BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker. He told journalist Rodney Edwards on the Human Nature podcast: “I’m somewhere between Dan and Piers.” ■ Human Nature is on Apple, Spotify and Google Podcasts.

PRAISE Eamonn
