Give us clarity

LEICESTER could be the first of many local lockdowns and the Government needs to be clearer and faster when people and businesses there complain that they were kept in the dark.

When the surge in Covid-19 cases was recorded under the present regime, there is no certainty it would fall under the status quo – although reopening pubs would increase the chance of it spreading. Until a vaccine is found, social distancing and touching as little as possible away from home are crucial defences.

Government confusion, too many people no longer sure about what they can and cannot do, must be replaced by clarity. Not just in Leicester – everywhere. Lives are at stake.
