Ex-soldier on charge after ‘terror email’
HEARING Westminster court
A BRITISH ex-soldier appeared in court charged with terror offences after allegedly sharing “sensitive” military documents.
Matthew Conroy, 25, is accused of sending an email to at least 50 recipients including political groups and media.
It allegedly contained soldiers’ personal details and material that could be used to assist in terrorism.
Conroy, of Shepherd’s Bush, West London, did not enter pleas to collecting documents containing information likely to be useful for terrorism, and publishing such documents.
He was remanded in custody at Westminster magistrates court and will next appear at the Old Bailey on July 11.
