Prue: My son is Tory MP, but I’m not a blue

DESPITE being the mum of a Tory MP, Prue Leith says she has voted for the party on just one occasion.
The Great British Bake Off judge’s son Danny Kruger, 45, was elected to the Commons in December.
Prue, 80, told Radio Times: “I have only voted Tory once, and that was when Tony Blair got in. I haven’t been much good to the Tories.”
Upon moving here from South Africa in 1960, Prue was shocked by the class divide. She said: “In South Africa there’s a racial divide and that was terrible. But when I came to England, I couldn’t believe the gradations of class.”
She added more needed to be done to help poorer families learn how to cook cheap healthy grub.
