BOILED eggs and soldiers are being snubbed by youngsters who prefer breakfasts that look good posted on social media.

Nearly a third of young Brits surveyed had never even tried the classic dippy eggs with buttered toast.

Kippers, marmalade on toast and the full English are also off the menu for those aged 18 to 35, as they favour avocado on toast, fried halloumi and burritos.

The poll by sauce brand Tabasco showed almost six in 10 in this age group have never heard of kedgeree, while more than half had chosen a breakfast based on how attractive it would look online.

A Tabasco spokesman said: “Young Brits are looking for breakfasts that are exciting, photogenic and packed with flavour.”
