More than half forced to work in the bedroom

Almost four of out of five have pledged to continue with benefits they only discovered thanks to the interrupti­on to normal life.

Spending quality time together, going for family walks and sitting down to shared meals are the top three crisis side-effects mums and dads are anxious not to lose.

A study shows 78% aim to retain some aspect of their new regime.

Almost half of families (48%) have done more exercise together since lockdown began in March.

MORE than half of coronaviru­s homeworker­s have had to turn their bedrooms into makeshift offices.

A total of 54% said the bedroom was the only place they could get enough peace and quiet to work effectivel­y.

Although a third of the 2,000 surveyed by Premier Inn said they were getting more sleep than before. A further one in five admitted to wearing pyjamas during a conference call with colleagues.

Premier Inn’s Sarah Simpson said: “It is important your bedroom environmen­t is set up to support both. From getting out of your pyjamas to winding down into crisp, clean (crumb free) sheets.”
