A PROPOSED £15.34million settlement for rapist Harvey Weinstein’s accusers has been slammed as a “complete sellout”.

The fund – set to be distributed between dozens of women – would resolve two lawsuits against the disgraced Hollywood producer.

The first one focuses upon The Weinstein Company while the second is a separate classaction lawsuit brought by women who say the filmmaker assaulted them. However, lawyers for

Attorneys Douglas Wigdor and Kevin Mintzer are set to “vigorously” challenge the offer.

The lawyers highlighted several problems with the settlement, including how it does not require Weinstein to admit guilt or pay money towards it.

One of his accusers Louisette Geiss, however, said she was agreeable to the deal. She said:

“There is no amount of money that can make up for this injustice, but I’m extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished.”

New York Attorney General Letitia James said: “These survivors are finally receiving some semblance of justice.”

The proposed settlement will require approval from a federal judge and bankruptcy court.

Weinstein, 68, is serving a 23-year jail term after being convicted of rape in February.
