ROBBO DODGES SWEARING RAP
ANDY ROBERTSON has escaped an FA charge after his emotional outburst at referee David Coote.
The Liverpool defender lost his cool at the end of Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Burnley at Anfield – and issued a foul-mouthed tirade at the official.
TV cameras caught Robertson delivering a string of expletives as he told Coote: “You didn’t see anything the whole game…what’s the point of having you in the middle?”
If the swearing was included in Coote’s report, that would have automatically triggered a referral to the disciplinary process, and a potential ban or fine.
But the FA confirmed last night they had received Coote’s report and the fourth official’s – and neither mentioned Robertson’s outburst.
