Money fear for workers

-

TWO in five workers are more anxious about their finances in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, a report has revealed.

Those aged 25 to 34 are the hardest hit as more than half say they have suffered increased worries over money, compared with a third prior to the crisis.

Wealth management firm Close Brothers found that one in 10 has been forced to work reduced hours but that rises to more than one in five of under-35s.

The firm’s Jeanette Makings said with less time to build savings the young “face the double whammy of income cuts with a minimal financial cushion”.
