Corrie’s ‘love square’ shot at a distance

CORONATION Street’s Tina O’Brien has told how she managed to film intimate “love square” scenes using social distancing.

Her character Sarah Platt will be “caught” between husband Adam and ex Gary, who is due to wed Maria, in upcoming scenes on the ITV soap.

The star said filming some “charged” moments with Mikey North, who plays murderer Gary, was tricky but not impossible – and they ended up having a “really good time”.

Tina added: “I was concerned the distance would make it difficult to get up close but it was just normal. We got to film everything in order… which we wouldn’t have been able to do before. It was a blessing in a way.”
