How to make your exercise regime work for you

-

Have you ever started a new exercise regime and found that you were so enthusiastic at the beginning, but as the days and weeks went by that keenness slowly petered out?

If so, it could be because you didn’t make it your own. Here are some tips that could help you create an exercise routine that fulfils your needs.

„ Do what you love. One of the biggest mistakes is choosing a routine that you hate. You will struggle and in the end despise it. Find something you’re good at and see if you can be even better!

„ Set your own goals. Try to be realistic so you don’t set yourself up for failure. Don’t just think of the endgame – set smaller milestones, that way you can reward yourself each time you pass one.

„ Keep track of your achievements. It’s great to look back on how far you have come, especially when you’re struggling to make progress. You’ll be surprised how much you’ve already achieved.

„ Find someone to cheer you on. Exercising with a friend is much more enjoyable and you can motivate each other.

„ Assess your goals regularly. It might be that you can actually set the bar higher. And why not? See if you can push yourself even further.
