A WOMAN whose husband was murdered by two teens said she was shocked she could “feel so much hate” as they were jailed for life.

Dad Robert Wilson, 53, was slashed more than 100 times with a samurai sword after confronting the pair at the pharmaceutical plant where he worked.

CCTV showed Kiyran Earnshaw, then 18, and Luke Gaukroger, then 15, taking it in turns to use the 2ft weapon.

Both had taken drugs when they attacked the night-shift supervisor in Huddersfield on January 16 this year.

Mr Wilson was chased and had his head stamped on before being killed.

Yesterday Mr Wilson’s devastated wife, Elaine, told Leeds crown court: “It is soul-destroying for us to realise these youths had choices and they chose to kill for no reason at all.”

Of a letter she had from a defendant, she said: “To have a letter written to us saying ‘it was the worst night of my life’ and ‘I’m sorry’ has sickened me to my stomach and it is a shock to me to realise that I can feel so much hate.” Rap lyrics

KILLER Kiyran Earnshaw was 18 were found in Gaukroger’s cell while he awaited trial, indicating that he planned to fake his apology.

“They read in part: “Sitting in the dock tryna show remorse but I don’t feel it...

“In all honesty I wouldn’t mean it tho fake apology just to be at home.”

Mr Wilson was with colleagues John Badejo and Paul Thewliss when they confronted the youths in the car park of Thornton & Ross at 11pm.

Mr Badejo was badly slashed in the arm and both had to jump into a nearby waterway to escape with their lives.

Earnshaw was found to have been in possession of Flualprazolam, a drug similar to the tranquiliser Xanax. He also admitted taking cocaine.

Both defendants admitted murdering Mr Wilson. Earnshaw also admitted unlawful wounding with intent.

Earnshaw, who was living alone in a housing association flat in Batley, West Yorks, was jailed for life with a minimum 22 years and Gaukroger, of Golcar, West Yorks, a minimum of 16 years.
