AMANDA My song for the little boy I lost
Star’s tribute to stillborn son
EMOTIONAL Amanda Holden has dedicated a song on her first album to her stillborn son Theo – as she told of “falling apart” after he died.
The heartfelt track – called With You, from Ghost: The Musical – is released as a single today.
The idea for her album, Songs From My Heart, emerged after she and her two daughters recorded a song for her husband Chris to mark their 10th wedding anniversary in 2018.
Amanda, who lost Theo in 2011, said: “The song’s last lines are, ‘ You took my life with you, Took my world with you’.
“So this is for our baby, who was born sleeping, and for Chris, who stayed strong when I fell apart.
“Chris told me he always thought of Theo when he heard this song. That floored me, so it’s also his song for Theo.
“It’s very emotional to sing it but I think you get chosen for experiences like that
GUEST Sheridan Smith only if you are strong enough to deal with them. And they change you.”
The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 49, is frequently seen on social media platform TikTok singing with daughters Lexi, 14, and Hollie, eight.
Other covers on her album, out on October 2, include I Dreamed A Dream ( from Les Miserables), Not While I’m Around (Sweeney Todd) and Don’t Cry For Me Argentina (Evita).
Singer Sheridan Smith features on I Know Him So Well ( from Chess).
Amanda said: “This album is all the songs I’ve loved in my life, sung for the people who mean the most to me. It’s a very emotional album.
“When I was a little girl I had a tape recorder and would sing into it, dreaming of this moment.
“There is a story behind every song on the album, celebrating life, love and loss – the darkest and happiest moments in my life so far. It is literally my heart laid bare.”

AMANDA HOLDEN ON SONGS FROM MY HEART
ALESHA Dixon says Simon Cowell infuriates fellow Britain’s Got Talent judges by being late for shows. Her blast comes after Ant and Dec said in their autobiography they nearly quit because of Cowell’s terrible time-keeping. Alesha said: “Normally it’s Simon holding us all up and we’re usually waiting around for him but when it comes to the live shows of course, he can’t be late, so we really enjoy those because Simon has to be on time.”
She also said David Walliams was even more outlandish now Cowell is off sick with a broken back.
“With Simon no longer taking part there is no one to keep David in check! He does his thing, we love it. We love him when he goes a little bit edgy and disrupts things by being his usual crazy self.” Talking about reuniting with Ashley Banjo, Cowell’s stand-in, she said: “I love Diversity – I feel like an honorary member having now performed with them, having now hosted one of their shows.
“I’ve got a lot of love and respect for them and Ashley is the perfect judge and perfect person to step in.
“He knows his stuff and always delivers. We always have lots of laughs together.”
Britain’s Got Talent is on ITV1 at 8pm on Saturday.
