SCOTT TO GIVE SERI THE PUSH

- BY PAUL BROWN

SCOTT PARKER has opened the door to a midfield exodus at Fulham as he puts the finishing touches to his squad.

Parker is keen to add some defensive cover, with Huddersfield’s Terence Kongolo a prime target, but currently has a surplus of players.

And he has cast doubt on the futures of Kevin McDonald, Stefan Johansen and Jean Michael Seri, who have yet to make the matchday squad.

Parker (top) said: “I think it’s clear that the squad at the moment is big.

“While the window ow is still open there are opportunities for players who may not get a lot of football this year, and feel they want to go and play. y

“I’ll never want to keep anyone at the club that didn’t want to be here. Of course the door is open.

“With the window open, we have all come to realise that anything can happen at any given hour or minute until it closes. I would not be ruling anything out.”

Big-money flop Seri (above) joined Fulham from Nice in 2018 in a £25million combined deal with Maxime Le Marchand but spent last season on loan at Galatasaray.

The Ivory Coast midfielder, who has generated interest from Inter Milan, has become a symbol of the club’s poor spending choices.

He struggled to adapt to the Premier League and, despite being back in training after quarantine, is now available for just £18m.

One midfielder Parker does NOT want leaving is AndreFrank Zambo Anguissa, another 2018 buy, this time from Marseille for £22.3m.

He too struggled in the Premier League last time around and spent last season on loan at Villarreal.

But Fulham rejected a £22m bid from the Spanish club for Anguissa in July and he could even start against Leeds today.

Parker said: “He has a vital part to play for us. His attributes suit the Premier League very well. I have no doubt he will have a big part to play this year.”
