EFL FANS Q&A

-

Which games will have fans? Middlesbrough v Bournemouth, Norwich v Preston, Blackpool v Swindon, Charlton v Doncaster, Shrewsbury v Northampton, Carlisle v Southend and Forest Green v Bradford.

The government has capped capacity at all pilot events at 1,000.

Will they be spread out across the ground, or contained in one stand? This will vary from club to club. Are face coverings mandatory? Blackpool ask that they are worn at all times inside the stadium, but they can be removed when a fan is in their seat facing forward. Middlesbrough also request supporters wear them in indoor or enclosed areas.

What about singing and chanting? Guidance issued to Blackpool and Middlesbrough fans says care should be taken when doing this. Hugs and high-fives should be avoided for people outside of an individual’s social bubble. What other differences might fans notice compared to March? There will be hand sanitiser dispensers around the stadium and queuing systems at toilets to limit the number of people using them at any one time. Fans can also expect one-way systems on gangways and exit and entry points. Will entry and exit be staggered? Some clubs are encouraging fans to be in their seat 30 minutes before kick-off. Instructions on exiting may be given to help with social distancing. Anything else?

Balls kicked into the stands can be returned to a ball boy or girl to be sanitised. No player autographs. Fans to turn their back if they pass anyone outside their bubble in a seated row.
