Bond star Margaret dies at 76
JAMES Bond actress and Carry On star Margaret Nolan has died aged 76.
She was masseuse Dink to Sean Connery’s 007 in 1964 film Goldfinger and was painted gold in the title sequence.
Margaret featured in six Carry On films in the 60s and 70s including Carry On Cowboy and Carry On Dick.
She also appeared in The Beatles film A Hard Day’s Night in 1964.
Film director Edgar Wright, who worked with her last year on forthcoming horror film Last Night In Soho, said: “She
was so funny, sharp and, as you might imagine, full of the most amazing stories.” Edgar described her as “magnificent” and as having been at the centre of “everything cool in the 60s”.
Margaret, who grew up in Hampstead, North London, appeared in numerous TV comedies including Steptoe and Son.
The mum of two, who also had serious roles in television and theatre, posed for Playboy in 1965 and was married to British actor and playwright Tom Kempinski between 1967 and 1972.
