King reigns over Ben for Moyes

SAID BENRAHMA’S £25million move from Brentford to West Ham is in jeopardy with the club instead focused on Bournemouth striker Josh King.

Winger Benrahma (above), who scored 17 goals last season, has fallen out with the Bees and is thought to have made contact with Brentford chairman Phil Giles to make his position clear.

The Irons had agreed a deal worth £17m, plus £8m in add-ons, with the beaten play-off finalists. But with a medical set for tomorrow, the deal appears to be off. West Ham are said to be relaxed about 25-year-old Benrahma’s situation, with Cherries striker King now their top priority.

A bid worth £13m has been rejected for the versatile hitman, with Bournemouth requiring £18m for the 28-year-old in the final year of his contract. West Ham boss David Moyes is understood to be keener to land King than Benrahma.

WEST HAM have signed defender Craig Dawson, 30, on a season-long loan from Watford.
