RAPID HAALAND SIMPLY RUTHLESS

ERLING HAALAND has been hailed as one of Europe’s top strikers by Northern Ireland defender Conor McLaughlin.

Northern Ireland must face Haaland (right) again in Oslo tomorrow after the Norway hitman scored twice in last month’s 5-1 rout at Windsor Park.

Haaland, 20, has plundered 11 goals already this season for Norway and Borussia Dortmund.

Sunderland defender McLaughlin said: “He’s right up there in terms of Europe’s best strikers with

Robert Lewandowski. He’s probably one of the fastest players I have seen live, his finishing as well.

“The thing that stood out for me was his ruthlessness.

“The standard of finishing from Haaland was unbelievable. Any sniff of a chance, he put it away.”
